SHAWN MILKE tells the story behind each song on The Emptiness.
"The Emptiness is an idea that my co-vocalist and co-creator Dennis Lee and I have had since the days of recording our first EP, Try This With Your Eyes Closed. We've spent our career thus far basing our songs and lyrics on the works of some of our favorite authors and literature of the past (i.e. stories in Greek mythology, fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm) and some chosen contemporary screenwriting (i.e. Heroes, The Princess Bride). However, even back when we first started writing together, he and I always talked about writing our own story that we could bring to life through one of our records. The Emptiness is that dream come true.

Hello ladies and gentlemen,
Todayis the day that we've all been waiting for. Our new story, The
Emptiness, is FINALLY here! You've seen the videos, you've heard the
songs, now you need to go out and get the final piece of the puzzle.
Once you get the album with the lyrics, story and sketches the entire
story will come to life for you and all make sense.
Monday night at 7pm PST/10pm EST, we're getting ready for the release of The Emptiness on Stickam! Shawn and Pat will be hosting the chat talking about the album, the story, and answering questions. Find us on our stickam page and make sure to be there when it starts!
